Obituary of Jacqueline A. Donaghy
Jacqueline Ann Donaghy (nee Meyler) died peacefully at Eger Nursing Home on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Born in Brooklyn Jacqueline & her husband John moved to Staten Island in 1965. She was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School and the College of Staten Island. For many years she worked as a travel specialist manager for American Express Travel. She was a long time parishioner of Holy Family Church where she served in the Holy Rosary Society, Choir, as a CCD Teacher and Eucharistic Minister. After retiring from American Express Jacqueline volunteered at Hospice.
Jacqueline is predeceased by her beloved husband John, son John Jr., and sister Dorothy McNamara. She is survived by her daughters Debra Letendre (Edward); Lorraine Lechtanski (Michael); Claire, Nancy and Diane Donaghy and her daughter-in-law Therese Gray Cahill (Brian). Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline enjoyed extensive traveling with her husband John, reading, dancing, singing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grand children.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
