Obituary of Robert Edward Kenny, Jr.

Robert Kenny, Jr., age 52, of West Brighton, passed away on April 19th, 2020. He was the loving father to Daniel M. Kenny; son of Robert and Mary Kenny, beloved brother to Kathleen Kenny, Christine Lauria, Jeannine Harder, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bobby was predeceased by his sister, Linda Kenny, and brother, Daniel J. Kenny. Bobby was born and raised in Staten Island. He graduated from Susan Wagner High School in 1985. After high school he joined the Navy where he served as Machinist Mate on the USS Kalamazoo from 1986 through 1990. Bobby worked as a Handyman for 24 years at Amalgamated Warbasse Houses in Brooklyn, New York; a job he really enjoyed and where he made many friends. Bobby's greatest joy was spending time with his son, Danny. Danny was the apple of his eye. In his free time Bobby enjoyed cooking, gardening, and tinkering with household projects. He always had a joke to share and was willing to lend a helping hand. Once the COVID-19 gathering restrictions have been lifted, the family will have a memorial mass at Sacred Heart Church in West Brighton, followed by a burial ceremony at Resurrection Cemetery.
