Obituary of Anna B. Pfeiffer

Anna B. Pfeiffer, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 14, 2020. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward D. Pfeiffer; loving mother of Bridget Scanlon and her husband Dennis; cherished grandmother of Jacqueline and Alyssa Scanlon. Anna was born and raised on Staten Island. She graduated from Curtis High School. Anna received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Wagner College. She went on to work at Banker’s Trust in Manhattan. Anna married the love of her life, Edward in 1959 and shared 59 wonderful years together until his passing in 2018. After their daughter was born Anna focused on being a mother to their daughter Bridget. As Bridget grew up and was getting ready to enter College Anna went back to work. She went to work at St. Vincent’s Hospital in the billing office. After she retired Anna focused on her family especially her grandchildren, Jacqueline and Alyssa. Spending time with them was extremely important to her and sharing many beautiful memories and moments with them became a priority. Due to the current health crisis, visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home will be private, the committal service at Moravian Cemetery will be on Thursday, 6/18/2020 at 10:00 AM.
