Obituary of George Rodriguez

George Rodriguez passed away on July 22, 2020 succumbing to complications from Parkinson's Disease. George was born in Rincon, Puerto Rico to the late Clotilde and Jorge Rodriguez and grew up in New York City alongside his brothers Winchell, Jose, and Juan. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged and awarded the Purple Heart medal after being wounded in combat. He returned home and continued serving and protecting with the New York City Department of Corrections for 20 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Guisella, two daughters, Christina and Jessica, son-in-law Jeremy Smalls, and three granddaughters Carter, Charley, and Cameron. He was a strong willed provider, loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed.
