Obituary of Evelyn A. Donohue

Evelyn A. Donohue (nee Salloum), age 87, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2020. She is predeceased by her long time companion, Leonard Madaia. She was the loving mother of Paul Donohue and his wife Claudia, Donald Donohue, Saroya Dieal, and Michael Donohue and his wife Michele. She was the cherished grandmother of Jack, Reese, Lucy Rachel, Sophia, Caroline, Kyle, Spencer, Alaina and Daniel. She was the dear sister of Florence Bashinelli and her late husband Steven, and the late Agnes Salloum. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a proud secretary at the College of Staten Island retiring after 25 years of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family members of Evelyn take someone they love out for dinner. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., on Saturday, 8/15/2020, A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 8/14/2020, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
