Obituary of Eileen M. Cintula
Eileen M Cintula (nee White), 71, of Concord, passed away on August 11th 2020. She was the beloved wife of William for 46 years. Loving mother of Eileen Tobin and her husband Thomas, Nadine Hill and her husband Ronald, Thomas and William; cherished grandmother of Maggie. Dear sister of John Perham; and the late Rosanne Grannis. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cintula was born in Manhattan in 1948 to the late Helen and Thomas White. Moved to Staten Island and graduated from New Dorp High School. She earned a degree in Nursing from Columbia University. She worked at Eger Nursing Home as a Registered Nurse. She later worked as the Assistant Director for Daytop Village, Staten Island.
In her youth, Eileen enjoyed live music concerts and the company of her dear friends and family. Eileen loved to travel. In her lifetime, she traveled to many international locations such as China, Italy, France, Germany and more. She was an avid movie buff and loved to watch the classics of the golden age of cinema. Eileen also rescued and cared for many cats whom she loved deeply.
Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday August 17th departing at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Sylvester's R.C. Church at 10 am. Burial to follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island New York. Family and friends may visit on Sunday August 16th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Due to the current health crisis, the number of visitors allowed into the funeral home and church at one time will be limited and must wear a mask.
