Dear John and Robert and families, I have so many fond memories of both your mom and dad, especially spending time at Breezy. I remember Your dad loved To play paddleball and one summer it inspired me to spend many hours playing. He had a hearty laugh and a warm smile. May you feel his presence as you tell his stories.

Dad – You are now resting with the love of your life for 67-1/2 years. You will always be with me as we have so much in common. We both earned our CPA licenses while working at Arthur Andersen. You worked in Audit and I was in the IT Consulting division. We both worked at 72 Wall/70 Pine; you for Cities Service and me for AIG. I loved going to your basketball practices when you coached the older kids in the parish. Later, you were my coach. I also coached youth sports for my kids, but I coached soccer. I continue to be involved in youth sports as a soccer referee. Your Uncle Mike used to go watch Gaelic Football at Gaelic Park in Riverdale. I played soccer at Gaelic Park for Manhattan College and continue to go back to Gaelic Park for Alumni Soccer games. Love, Bob

Grandpa, I wish I had a chance to say goodbye to you in person but it brings me comfort that you will be watching over me - as you have always watched over me. I miss how you’d always find a way to get on grandma’s nerves and when you weren’t doing that you’d nod off in a chair somewhere. I miss going fishing with you and grandma then having you release my catches because I didn’t want to touch the fish. I miss going to Blockbuster with you and grandma and you’d let me pick out whatever I wanted to watch. There’s many things I’ll miss about you but I’m extremely grateful for the time we did have together. Love, Kevin

Dear Grandpa, We love and miss you. I know this past year without grandma has been hard. And while we will only continue to feel your absence know that we are happy you have reunited with the love of your life. As a kid I loved spending time with you and grandma, going to museums and zoos, and even that one time where we went crab fishing and I cried until the crabs were set free. When we were little my siblings and I rarely saw you without a cup of coffee and so we raise our cups of joe to celebrate a life filled with laughter and Saint John’s basketball games. One we will miss everyday.
