Obituary of Saramma Paul
Saramma Paul (Lizamma), age 90, passed away on November 3, 2020. She was born in Mundakayam, Kerala on November 1, 1931 to the late Mr.Pothen Abraham and Mrs. Mariamma Abraham (Valiyapeedikayil Family). She got married to her husband, (Late) Mr. Erakkathil Thomas Paul, in 1949 and later immigrated to the United States in 1985. She was the loving mother of Thomas Paul and his wife Shailaja Thomas (Sheeba), Abraham Paul and his wife Annie Abraham (Anitha), George Paul and his wife Susan George, Jayamole Roy and her husband Roy.K. Korah, and Jessy Thomas and her husband Shibu Thomas. She was the cherished grandmother of Bijo Thomas and his wife Anitha Thomas, Jojo Thomas and his wife Ashley Thomas, Neethu Thomas and her husband Tejy Thomas, Nidhi Varghese and her husband Anthony Varghese, Nisanth Abraham, Melissa Abin and her husband Abin Jose, Manisha and Melinda George, Kristen, Lauren and Steve Roy, and also Kevin and Jason Thomas.
She was an active member of the CSI Congregation of Staten Island and CSI Ascension Church of Kanjikuzhy. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She always put her family first and loved spending time with all of us. She was a very religious and caring woman who loved feeding everyone her delicious food she would cook. She was a beautiful person inside and out and had the most radiant smile that could brighten up any room. She was a selfless person who cared for everyone. Her warmth and her smile will be deeply missed by all of us.
Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. Religious services are scheduled at 8:00 pm on Friday, and 9:30 am on Saturday, in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Moravian Cemetery on Saturday, at 11:00 am.
