Pratibha "Betty" married Shiv Gupta on May 1, 1962. Together, they ventured as pioneers to America with their young children to pursue all the opportunities America has to offer. Within the 50 years that Pratibha lived in America, first landing in Queens and settling in Staten Island, she was devoted to her religion, to her beloved husband, to raising her children, and to loving her grandchildren. Pratibha was an incredible musician who enjoyed writing original bhajans (devotional songs) and singing them with her beautiful voice. She was the life of the party and always the first one on the dance floor. Pratibha also established many religious groups (Ram Temple & Kirtan) and social groups (Golden Age and Kitty). Her faith, family, and many friendships meant everything to her. Her fun-loving and generous spirit will continue to live on in each and every one of us.
