Obituary of Joseph A. Vuotto
Joseph Vuotto (aka JoJo) was a native Staten Islander, born on May 9, 1947, and passed away on November 16, 2020. He attended St. Peter's High School on Staten Island, then Marist College, NY, before moving to Long Beach, Califorinia, where he achieved a Master's Degree in Microbiology at Cal State. As a career freelance writer living in Manhattan, Joe wrote industrial business commercials, speeches, seminars, award winning poetry, as well as wrote and produced Off-Broadway plays.
Joe was an avid outdoorsman, acquiring a private pilot's license, sailing instructor, large vessel captain's license and a PADI Master Instructor Scuba certification. He was survived by his son Eric Todd Vuotto and his children and great-grandchild; his brother and sister-in-law Carl and Carmen Vuotto, with their four sons and grandchildren. He will be missed.
