Obituary of Doris M. Tolas - Yellen

Doris M. Tolas-Yellen, 84, of Travis, passed away peacefully at her home on December 7, 2020. She was the beloved mother of Beverly Kalbrosky and her husband Ira, and Kenneth Yellen; cherished grandmother of Jessica Johnson and her husband Chris, Amanda Keegan and her husband Fran; devoted great-grandmother of Carter, Miles, and Grace; dear companion of Joseph Battista for the last 45 years. Doris was born and raised in Travis, and graduated from Port Richmond High School. She was a mother, housewife, and later on was employed as a Secretary for Thomas Cook Travel, retiring from there in 1998. Doris was a member of the Staten Island Ladies' Golf League and devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, where her mother was an organist for many years. She loved spending time outdoors, tending to her home and garden, and also enjoyed the friendship of her neighbors. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, on Wednesday, at 11:00 am, followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church. Please do not send flowers.
