Obituary of James A. Otten

James A. Otten, 78, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. James passed away on December 26, 2020 after living a very full life. James was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. James served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. He met the love of his life Denise and married her in 1971. They moved to Staten Island in 1973.He worked as a foreman for thirty years in the New York City Transit Authority and retired in 2005. He loved the New York Mets, enjoyed bowling, cruises, and trips to Atlantic City with his wife. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending his grandson's baseball games. James was a kind hearted soul, who was adored by his family and friends. He loved telling silly jokes to make people laugh. James was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Gertrude Otten. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years Denise, daughters Denise (Joesph )and Kimberly (Andrew) , grandchildren Andrew and Madison, hisbrothers , sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
