Obituary of Salvatore DeLuca
Salvatore Deluca, 64, of South Amboy, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2021. He was born on May 3, 1956 in Italy, was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and resided in New Jersey for the past 38 years. He was a dedicated worker with NJ Transit for over 30 years before his retirement in 2012. He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his children and extended family.
Salvatore was predeceased by his parents, Assunta and Carmine; his brother-in-law‘s Nicola and Giovanni; and nephew Giovanni. He is survived by his children, Carmine, Alissa and Salvatore; his sisters Maria, Lina, Rose and Carolina and her husband Lorenzo. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, departing at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C.Church at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
