One of my favorite memories of Kenji was when Natasha and I met up with Kristen and Kenji in Japan. Kenji was very excited to play tour guide for us - he showed us where he grew up, introduced us to Japanese street meats, drove us to Kagoshima so we could see Sakurajima erupt, had us try flying fish (which was surprisingly really good), introduced us to all their friends, and much more. It was an incredible trip, and I was flattered Kenji was so willing to give us a window into his life like that.
Kenji left an indelible mark on our lives, and while he will be sorely missed his spirit lives on in every person who had the good fortune to meet him. We certainly will never see the likes of him again.
