Obituary of Ida Linda Thomas
Ida Thomas was born on November 13, 1957 to the late William and Mildred Thomas. She was born and raised in Staten Island and graduated from Curtis High School in 1976 afterwards she attended The College of Staten Island where she earned her bachelor's degree.
Ida's career path proved just how much of a hard worker she was. She began at Pain Weber in New York City and then moved on to working in the World Trade Center. In 1992 after giving birth to her son Jordan Lee she decided to leave the brokerage firm behind and pursued a career in nursing. Ida found her calling and worked as a Senior Patient Care Assistant (PCA) at Staten Island Hospital for over 20 years.
She was a devoted mother and Jehovah Witness who loved to travel and enjoy life. She touched the lives of many people with her sense of humor, compassion, generosity, and a smile that lit up the world.
Ida was called home on February 3,2021 where she will join her late siblings Alfred Hunt, Sandra Thomas, and William (PoPo) Thomas. She will forever be remembered by her loving son Jordan Lee, beloved nieces and nephews, devoted family, and countless friends who were blessed to know her.
