Hi Cousins. Jenn was my buddy at Church and we would sit together if we were at the same Mass, and catch up after the services. If she was sitting anywhere in front of me. I could always pick her out because of her beautiful long, straight hair, which is a Lundrigan trait (my sister Alice has the same kind of hair)! When I looked at her, I could see her father, Charlie, in her, but also cousin Rosie's face. She always talked about her students; her tomatoes (in season) and how she and her husband planted the garden each year; her nieces and nephews; and of course, her new dog, and how he had run away from Charlie one time when they were out for a stroll. She always posted a certain picture on Facebook of the dog all dressed up for St Patrick's Day, whenever it was somebody's birthday. She told me last summer about her illness and I never saw her after that. . . Jenn had a strong faith and I hope it helped her through her illness. My condolences to Charlie, Chuck, Colleen, Robin and the entire family.

I had the honor to work with Jennifer for many years at IS 7 on Staten Island. She was a truly gifted teacher and a treasure to her students and colleagues alike. On a more personal level, she and Charlie tended my garden for many years, always selecting the finest and hardiest plants. As I once told Jen, I’ve been known to kill plastic.
Rest In Peace dear friend. Your work in this tired old world is over. I wish you lush green fields and the fragrance of God’s most beautiful flowers. I know that you are with your “puppies” now and in the blink of an eye you will be reunited with those who love and miss you.

Mrs. Gibbons was a phenomenal math teacher and it saddens me to think that she is no longer with us. She was one of greatest teachers I had that impacted my life drastically. I really had the hope that my younger brother would be able to meet her, as he is now a Sethlow student. Despite this, I truly hope Sethlow I.S. 96 does something to commemorate her. I am sending all my condolences to her family, students, and co-workers. She will dearly be missed, may she eternally rest in peace.

She was my eighth grade math teacher and I don’t regret it because I got to know her. I never got to give her a formal goodbye because of COVID. Jenn was an amazing teacher her first concern was always for our students at IS96. Jenn would always be at her door greeting everyone with a smile and a cheery hello, but more then this Jenn was a great and kind person she will truly be missed. Jenn, I cannot believe that I am sitting here writing these words. I am so heartbroken over your passing. I will always remember our time at Seth Low together. Every morning, I could count on seeing you standing in front of room 317, waiting for your students to arrive. They were so lucky to have you. I was blessed to have you as a friend and a confidant. I am thankful for all the time we spent together and all the conversations that we shared. I will remember you as a dedicated teacher to our students (our kids). I think back to all our times together on school trips, and how we were often more excited than the kids to go snow tubing, or ice skate, or ride the roller coasters at Great Adventure. I am so saddened to know that I will never receive another text message to join a football pool, or talk about work, or our families (including dogs). Thank you for always being a person I could talk to, and for being a truly great friend. I will miss you so much. How I wish things had turned out differently for you, Jenn. I am incredible sad and will miss you very much.
You are like those beautiful tulips that brightened my Spring every year when I saw them out my windows, your time here was far too short but you added so much loveliness, wonder and joy to those in your presence. Oh Jenn, you were the sunshine I walked into every morning on my way to my classroom, chatted about nothing and everything... You just loved your students and never ever missed a day of work. You were so happy when I was getting married.
