Obituary of Pauline Martin

Pauline Martin, 81, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Colin, loving mother of Debra Mack, Carl Goetz, and Linda Van Pelt; cherished grandmother of Lauren Farrell, Brian Goetz, Michael Van Pelt, Christopher Goetz, Michelle Vane Pelt and Stephanie Van Pelt; devoted great-grandmother of Colin, Erica and Corinne; dear sister of Lucille, Mildred, Janet, Salvatore, Vito, John and the late Joseph Minucci. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a long time resident of Staten Island, lived in Westerleigh, and graduated from Curtis High School in 1957. She often would fondly reminisce about her high school years. She was a homemaker and loved to have family gatherings; there wasn't a birthday or holiday that went uncelebrated. Pauline was a parishioner at Holy Family and loved to participate in church activities; the dances held throughout the years were her special favorite. Her husband Colin and she would dance the night away. Pauline also loved to swim in her pool in the yard and would go out every warm day to do laps with her kickboard. She would faithfully go to the YMCA to exercise and also managed to socialize there as well. In lieu of flowers, the family of Pauline Martin would appreciate donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family will be holding a private viewing.
