Obituary of Guennadi Svinarenko

Gennadiy “Gena” Svinarenko passed away at home at the age of 59 in early February 2021. In those years, he lived a life full of joy, laughter, and fun. Gena was born in Bobruisk, Belarus on December 23, 1961, where he spent his childhood and early adult years. In 1992, he joined many of his friends in moving to New York, New York, where he would go on to spend the rest of his life. Gena was extremely smart and intelligent person, free spirited and loving life. No one could trump his sharp mind that could rattle off any topic at the drop of a hat. Moreover, he was a loyal friend and a dependable compatriot to the many whose lives he touched. He is survived by all of these people - friends who turned into family over the years. It is with the heaviest of hearts that we say goodbye, but Gena’s memory will be remembered and celebrated often by so many.
