Obituary of Amelito C. Lontoc

Amelito C. Lontoc, 59, passed away peacefully in his home on March 30, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Yolanda Arsobal-Lontoc; loving father of Ariel Lontoc, Alissa Lontoc, and Andrea Lontoc and her husband Rick; cherished son of Rosendo & Estela Lontoc; and beloved brother of Lizette, Ana, Wilma, Adora, Armando, Edgardo, and Rodelio. Amelito was born and raised in Carmona, Cavite, Philippines. He graduated from Far Eastern University in Manila with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. In 1986, he immigrated to the United States and lived in Brooklyn for several years before settling in Staten Island in 1994. He worked as a construction inspector on a variety of residential and commercial sites throughout New York City and was very passionate about his work. Amelito was a huge fan of the New York Giants and loved to cook and eat Filipino food. He was a good man with a good heart, and he was loved by many. Family and friends may visit the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard on Tuesday, April 6th from 2:00pm - 5:00pm and from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. A short funeral service will also be held on Wednesday, April 7th at 10:00am at Matthew Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery. Due to Covid, all visitors must wear masks, practice social distancing, and be mindful that due to capacity limitations, a small wait to visit might exist.
