Obituary of Andrew M. Buovolo

Andrew M. Buovolo, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2021. He was the devoted son of the late Antonio and Carmela. He was the beloved brother of Anthony and the late Mildred and Lucia. He is survived by his loving and longtime companion, Kathy. Andrew attended and graduated from Xavier High School. He was a very athletic kid, exceling in track and baseball. Soon after graduating High School, Andrew went to Wall Street enjoying a 50-year career and eventually becoming a partner at Fahnestock and Company. Andrew loved sports throughout his life, specifically baseball and golf. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of socializing and spending time with those closest to him. He was a kindhearted man who will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd., on Thursday, 6/3/2021, departing at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, 6/2/2021, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Due to the current pandemic, the family requests all unvaccinated visitors to please wear masks and be mindful that a short wait to visit might exist due to current capacity limitations.
