Obituary of John C. Manna

Mr. John C. Manna, 84, of Mariner's Harbor, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2021. He was the beloved father of Joseph C. Manna and John Manna and his wife Lisa; cherished grandfather of Veronica, Nicholas, and Cassandra; devoted great-grandfather of four; dear brother of Carmela DiCrocco and her husband Mario; fond uncle of Glen DiCrocco. John was born and raised in Mariner's Harbor and graduated from McKee High School, class of 1954. He then enlisted and served for two years in the United States Army, stationed in Fort Dix and Fort Knox. He was a Bus Operator for 25 years with the New York City Transit Authority. He also held jobs with Ford Motor Company and the Maidenform Bra Company in Bayonne. John was an avid model car collector. He took pride in restoring his 1953 Chevy and competed in many car shows with it. In 1956 he was one of the original founding members of the Road Trotters Car Club. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
