When I met Pete in 1972 at Suffolk Cable, it was his first day back from our Shelter Island cable system, he showed me how to climb, only thing is I put my hooks on backwards. He asked me. You getting ready to climb a barrel? From that day on for nearly the next fifty years we would become the best of friends, we built businesses together. We also played music together, the Cable band did “Reelin’ in the Years”, by Steely Dan” note for note, at pain level in Pete and Di’s house. We were great, just ask the Suffolk County Police. In Buffalo, we broke five Buffalo Bills blackouts. I’ll bet The Bills are still after me and Hank. Pete was the manager of International Cable’s softball team, of course, we won the championship, and he even came with me to the hospital after the winning play at home plate. In Staten Island, another successful cable system, and years of fun and comradery. I will miss his great smile,
I will miss him

Red Porsche! Rolling in for a family reunion in Syracuse stepping out still wearing his softball uniform but made it to the party! He had a year notice!! Too many times places to post but all great with some gem of wisdom from Pete! He and Dianne were the best how else could they end up with kids as dedicated to them as Kelley Lynne and Greg. Lake George, The Hotel, 100 Cable way, Buffalo, shelter Island where didn’t Pete leave him mark..? Watching hickey with Pete and Mike was always an adventure. Knowing he and Dianne are together is comforting. All our love! Bob and Kim G

We were so lucky to meet Pete, Diane, Henry, & Mary when they lived in Buffalo area. We became great friends and shared so many fun times playing hockey, cable parties, and so many other times we spent together. Marilyn worked with Pete and Henry also. Pete was a tremendous guy, and Diane was a terrific person, as well. Our love and prayers are with your Family. Love, Bob and Marilyn Sedia

Well from another Cable Guy, I met the three Musketeers (Pete, Henry and Harry Perlow) in the 70’s. I was the Sales Engineer for Jerrold Electronics and they worked for my customer Peter Gilbert. We were all young and crazy building an Industry. Besides being my customers, we became friends, and remain so today. What great times we had. I will miss my email correspondence with Pete, sending each other jokes, political cartoons and keeping up with family and health. I’ll see you someday Pete, and we will have a drink or two or three up there at the Pierce Arrow,
God Bless my old friend,
John Kurpinski

The Haunted House in Lake George and Pete's protection of Mike and myself with his 'well sharpened Mets pencil' will be remembered for life.
Of course his 'winning' of said pencil in the arcade prior is beautiful as well. Let's just say the Fester shock game was no match for Petey.
The fun house topped off and yet another classic outing with Pete; where having a good time was the compass....(providing adequate advance notice of course, with a certain degree of precision).
We all loved him so much...a true honor to have known and spent time with him.
God Bless
Rob
