Losing Uncle Charlie was a big loss for myself and my family. Although the inevitable finally came, I kind of hoped the day when he left us would never come. Selfish of me, yes. But this is one man I never wanted to let go of. Being there always for us whether it be a plumbing issue, carpentry issue, auto mechanical problem you could always take a ride down Dongan street to talk to my Uncle. Uncle Charlie, thank you for always being there. Thank you for our German Shepherd pup” Duke”. Thank you for your military service over in Europe fighting those devils. Thank you for your quick witted jokes that always made laugh. To say I will miss you is an understatement. Now you are with your wonderful wife Aunt Phyllis, my Mom and all your other sisters. My pop pop...we will miss you terribly but I find peace in knowing you are no longer suffering in that nursing home and are back with our father in heaven with my beautiful loving angel my grandmother. I'm sure she welcomed you with open arms. I was blessed to have a wonderful strong loving man such as yourself to be my grandfather. We will all miss you and love you forever and ever!!
