Obituary of Marie Pezzolanti

Marie Pezzolanti, 92, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at her residence in Staten Island, New York. Marie was born and raised in Brooklyn to parents John and Madeline Causi. She was the youngest of five children. She was the beloved wife of her late husband, John Pezzolanti. Marie was preceded in death by her oldest son Anthony. Marie is survived by her children Angela (Joseph), John (Lisa), and Patrick (Jeannette). She was a dear grandmother to Anthony (Adrienne), Diana (Joseph), Christa, Joanna (Stefano), GinaMarie (Paul), Jennifer, Maria, John Patrick, and John. Great Grandchildren to Alexa, Giuliana, Angelina, Joseph, Giacomo, Giancarlo, Sienna, & Valentina. Survived by many nieces and nephews from the Causi and Pezzolanti families. Marie grew up in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn, where it would be her most enjoyable place to visit throughout her life. Her love of Frank Sinatra’s music was instilled in all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite song was “My Way” that became the anthem for her life. She enjoyed cooking for her family on Sundays when living in Canarsie. Her love of her nieces and nephews phone calls and them expressing their concerns for her always brightened her day. She loved trips to Atlantic City with family and friends, playing bingo and the lotto. Marie was a superior role model for her strength, and will be sorely missed… In the words of Frank Sinatra, “The best is yet to come”.
