Obituary of Michael C. DiFilippo

Michael C. DiFilippo, 79, of Bulls Head, formerly of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (nee Lande) for 54 years; loving father of Michael and the late Robert; cherished grandfather of Vivian and Joseph DiFilippo. Michael was born in Brooklyn, being raised in Bensonhurst. He had many loves in his life and they were his wife, his sons and grandchildren and Poker. He also enjoyed Chinese food. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Staten Island Chapter of the Cooley's Anemia Foundation. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, departing at 9 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 9:30 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
