Obituary of John Mazzola Jr.

John Mazzola Jr, 52, of New Springville, passed away suddenly on November 12, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Kristine (nee Tyrrell) and loving long-time companion of Elizabeth Palmieri; devoted father of John Mazzola III, Michael Mazzola, Anthony Mazzola, Jenna Mazzola; fond step-father of Anthony Maniscalco and Salvatore Maniscalco; dear father-in-law of Amanda Mazzola,; loving grandfather of Taytum Mazzola; dear son of John Mazzola Sr. and the late Lorraine Mazzola; beloved brother of Angela Ezzo (Chris). He was also survived by several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and many loving friends. Mr. Mazzola was born and raised in Downtown, Brooklyn. He relocated to the neighborhood of New Springville, Staten Island, as a young child, and graduated from Port Richmond High School. He was employed for many years as an Electrician with Union Local 3. John was a family man who loved enjoying time with his children, watching sports with his sons and his special Friday night card games with his young daughter, and his close network of friends, whom he considered to be his "brothers." Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A service is scheduled for Thursday at 8:00 pm in the funeral home. Arrangements include private cremation.
