Obituary of Gwendolyn F. Colucci

Gwendolyn F. Colucci, 86, of Westerleigh, passed away peacefully, at home, on December 11, 2021. She is the beloved wife of Anthony Colucci Jr. for 58 years; loving mother of Audrey Cole (Michael), Anthony Colucci (Tina), Gwen Lalor (Tom), Leah Colucci, and the late Lynne Colucci, and the late Lyndia Colucci; cherished grandmother of Ryan, Adrianna, Matthew, Shane, Evangelina, Zachary, Gianni, and Annabella; dear sister of Norman (Anna). She was predeceased by 6 siblings. Mrs. Colucci was born in Bayonne, NJ, and lived for a while in Jersey City. After her marriage to Anthony in 1963, she relocated to Staten Island, settling in Dongan Hills for a short time before moving to her long-time residence in Westerleigh. As a youth she went to school to become skilled at Toe dancing and later did this again after raising her children. Gwendolyn was the premier ballerina in Jersey City, NJ from her early teens until many years later. She taught dance to many children in her forties and also performed on the stage in a lot of shows. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am in the funeral home on Friday. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery.
