Obituary of Donna L. Forgen

Donna (Dee Dee) Forgen (nee Palumbo), 64, of Rosebank, passed away at home on January 3, 2022. She was the loving mother of Allison Angioletti (nee Palumbo) and her husband Anthony and cherished grandmother to Julianna Rose, Anthony III, and Stephen Nicholas. She was preceded in death by her sister Sue, and brothers Gary, Doug, Alan and Stephen. Dee Dee was known for her love of cooking and all things Wizard of Oz. She worked many years as a dietary worker at Staten Island University Hospital and was happy caring for patients as she would her own family. After retiring, she spent much of her time caring for her grandchildren, whom she loved being with. Together they would cook family recipes, listen to Frank Sinatra and watch scary movies. Being a grandmother was her greatest joy. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Saturday, 1/8/2022, a service will be conducted in the funeral home at 5:00 PM. Family and friends may visit on Saturday, 1/8/2022, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. A private cremation will follow.
