Obituary of Monique Gentile-Greco

Monique Gentile Greco (nee Rafaniello), of Annadale, Staten Island, passed away at Richmond University Medical Center on January 31, 2022. She was the beloved wife of John Greco, cherished daughter of the late Vito and Gisele Gentile; loving mother to Megan Parente and her husband Stephen, Devoted sister to Vincent Gentile, Rita Neumann and husband Larry Neumann and Aunt to Rebecca and Amanda Neumann. Monique was born in Queens, N.Y shortly after her family relocated to Staten Island. She attended P.S 36, I.S 34 and was a graduate of Tottenville High School. She worked for AG Edwards in Manhattan before becoming a stay at home mother, and later working in retail. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to Atlantic City with her brother Vincent, taking trips with her beloved John, dining out with family, visiting her sister and nieces, and watching CBS soap operas. She was a loving and caring woman, we will all miss her immensely and cherish our memories with her. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. on Monday, 2/7/2022, departing at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, 2/6/2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Due to the current mandate, all visitors are required to wear masks.
