Obituary of John J. Leotta

John J Leotta, 88, of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on Monday February 7, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived there until his retirement. As a teenager he was a musician and attended the High School for Performing Arts in NYC. After his discharge from the Army he worked until retirement for Emory Roth and had a hand in growing the NYC skyline. John was a very generous brother and uncle. He is survived by his brother Rosario Leotta. Although John had no children of his own he is survived by his beloved niece Carol Stanilewicz and her husband Joseph. John’s greatest joy was spending time with them and their three children Joseph Stanilewicz and his wife Ann and their children Joseph and Jack…. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann’s R.C. Church at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
