Obituary of Anna Marie Witkowski
Anna M. Witkowski, 88, daughter of John and Anna Einig passed away on February 14, 2022. She was the beloved wife of John J. Witkowski for 64 years; loving mother of Carolyn Witkowski and John Farrell and adored by her nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and granddaughter.
Preceded in death by husband John and sister Margaret Norrby and survived by daughter Carolyn, son John Farrell, granddaughter Sally Farrell, nephews Russell Norrby, Richard Norrby and wife Kara, grandnieces Emily and Anna and grandnephews Jack and Josiah.
Anna was born and raised in Manhattan, New York and moved to Staten Island. Anna believed in volunteer service and served as the president of the PTA and worked as office manager at Calvanico Associates.
After retirement, Anna also worked with the SAG as a movie and television extra (hurry up and wait she would say). She enjoyed with her husband and friends hosting and attending costume theme mystery parties, all things Sherlockian and Agatha Christie. She most enjoyed traveling with family and friends, solving crossword puzzles, gardening, and supporting charities.
Once my cousin Edward made a homemade cheesecake and it started to slide off the dish. A few mid-air grabs saved the cake, but it looked ruined. Mom said it would still taste great!
She was a true blue friend and our rock when things got tough and will be dearly missed. We love you always.
