I will always remember the first time I met Mrs. Zito. It was after a baseball game at Curtis H.S. I had seen her on the side with Mr. Z. walking a baby in a stroller back and forth most of the game. Sal came over after the game and introduced me to them. Little did I know, I was meeting my future mother in law, father in law and nephew.
I also remember eating over their house for the first time and loving her mashed potatoes and buttered carrots. I asked her, "What brand box were the potatoes?" She looked at me like I was crazy...they were not boxed, they were real potatoes. She was a great cook and taught how to make many things my family enjoys till today.
She wasn't the stereotypical mother in law. Never overbearing or meddlesome, just patient and loving. I wish that P&G never closed on S.I. and often wonder what our life would have been like if we all still lived on S.I. I wish the distance in miles didn't separate us, and that my kids knew her for the beautiful woman she was. I also wish my paranoia right now didn't keep me from being there for my family that I've know since I was 18 years old. But, we can't go back, we can only go forward, hoping that the future brings us together more often.
I know she is in great company, and will take care of my baby along with my dad, aunt and uncle.
Rest in peace, sweet mother in law.

Ralph Annibale AKA Ralph John
The passing of a beloved relative is all ways a traumatic event. It brings into focus not only your own mortality but the loss of the generation that shaped your life. Aunt Marian was one of those people. A truly kind and loving woman, never a harsh word always soft spoken. She was a person who showed love and treated people with respect and kindness and tried to teach us how to do the same. Thank you, Aunt Marian, for being a great person that shaped my values. You will be truly missed by all. My deepest heartfelt condolences to Uncle Jerry and all my cousins.
