Obituary of Henry L. Maturi
Henry Louis Maturi passed away on March 9 at home surrounded by his family. Henry was born in Brooklyn, on January 9, 1939. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and Brooklyn Tech High School.
By the age of eighteen he was co-owner of Staten Island Grinding Service, South Beach. Henry served in the US Army stationed in Fort Dix, and Thule Greenland.
Henry was an avid hunter, and founding member of the 20 Sportsman Club. He served on several boards including The New York Grinder's Association, and Columbia Cutlery Corp.
After retirement Henry and Diane moved to East Jewett, in the Catskills where he lived enjoying his garden and his family.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Augustine Maturi and Anna Caola Maturi. He is survived by his wife Diane of 56 years, his children Michael (Janet), Anne Tancredi (Michael), Jeanine Mulholland (Charles), his grandchildren Michael, Luke, and Charles.
His brother Victor, and sister Gloria.

Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Saturday, March 19, 2022, departing at 9:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church at 9:30 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Friday, 3/18, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
