Dear Margie, I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss of Tony. My sincere condolences to you and your family. Tony was one in a million. If we ever get back to our AARP meetings they won't be the same without him. God Bless you and your family.

My sincere condolences to the Dellatte family,
I was a student of Mr. Dellatte at P.S. 32 in South Brooklyn around 1966, he was the kind of teacher who went above and beyond for the children he taught, and for me he was my teacher etc. After my elementary school yrs he would always stop and talk with me on sidewalk or in the schoolyard as i lived just down the block from the school he would ask how i was doing in general . As always he boosted my confidence and made me know to keep my nose clean while hanging out and reminded me i was smart enough of doing and becoming what i wanted to in my future.
In mid 80's i met him in S.I. while shopping with my wife and kids ,it was nice catching up with him after years gone by....he left imprints in my life that i never saw til i was older.he was more then a teacher to me
He was a teacher,,,,a therepist,, gardian angel and best of all a friend .
I will never forget you,
Rest In Peace my friend.
Ty Mr.Dellatte

I've known Tony over 25 years. He is one of the most decent people I know. Kind, caring, willing to listen and respect to you point of view. Even if he didn't agree with you and many times we had a difference of opinion. But, that didn't matter to Tony, if he liked you, he liked you.
He will not only be missed by his family but, by the organizations he served on so many years. Particularly Willowbrook AARP members.
May he rest with the Angels.
