Obituary of Margaret I. Leonardo

Margaret I. Leonardo (nee Schoenig), 94, of Dongan Hills, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent; loving mother of Steven and his wife Mary Jo, and the late James Leonardo; devoted grandmother of Steven, Lynn, and the late Briana; cherished great-grandmother of 7; dear sister of the late Gladys Pritchard. Margaret was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School. She was employed for over 20 years with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, as a Supervisor. Margaret was an avid Bingo player, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Moravian Cemetery.
