Obituary of Bernadette K. Salomon
Bernadette K. Salomon
Bernadette K. Salomon, 52, of Stapleton, Staten Island, was taken abruptly and unexpectedly from her beautiful life and family on July 17. She was the beloved wife of Lionel Salomon, loving sister of Dorothy Bray, William Bray, Bernard Bray and Paul Bray, and proud, beloved mother of Devin, Lionel, Ashley, and Bernadette. Bernadette was a loving daughter to the late Dorothy Bray, whom she missed dearly, and she is survived by her father Bernard Bray. Bernadette was an amazing mom and grandmother and cherished time spent with her eight grandchildren, Javon, Dante, Zaire, Eli, Jamir, Jayden, Aria and Aniya. All of her babies were her pride and joy. She is also loved by her nieces and nephews.
A lifelong Staten Islander, she grew up in Stapleton and married her high school sweetheart Lionel Salomon. In their nearly 33 years together, they raised a large family, their village. Bernadette worked hard her entire life and became an assistant nurse in an oncology division of a Staten Island hospital. She was a well-known phlebotomist who gave her all to patients in her care.
Bernadette enjoyed Motown music and spending all her free time with her family who miss her beyond words.
