Obituary of Francis P. Jankowski

Francis (Frank) Patrick Jankowski, 82, of Bulls Head, passed away peacefully on August 28,2022. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Lompado) for 65 years; loving father of Linda Hudec and her husband, Frank, Joseph Jankowski and his wife, Liz, and Francis Jankowski; cherished grandfather of the late Brian (2006), Rachel, Joey, Katie, Frankie and Robbie. Francis was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from St. Michael's High School. He lived in Bulls Head, Staten Island, for the past 34 years. He served as an NYPD Officer in the 7 th Precinct in Manhattan for 25 years and retired in 1982. Francis was a gentle soul who enjoyed spending time with family and an avid Mets fan. He also enjoyed watching other sports and taking trips to Atlantic City. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, September 2, 2022, departing at 9:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
