Obituary of Jill Ada Caruso
Jill Ada Caruso, 74 of West Brighton, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2022, with her family by her side after a short illness. She was born to the late Angelo and Phyllis Caruso. Beloved Sister to Ronald Caruso, Karen Caruso-Mazzey, Angelo Caruso and adopted sister of the late Mary E. Duzant.
Jill had a very large extended family filled with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews that she loved to talk to them on the phone and spend time with. Her whole family will truly miss her.
Jill was a native Staten Islander, born and raised in Mainers Harbor and was graduated from Port Richmond High School. She retired from Chase Manhattan Bank as Foreign Loan Representative, for 40 years. She loved all holidays especially Christmas when most of her family would get together and have a feast of foods.
She loved playing the horse racing game, cards and many other games with her nieces & nephews. Jill was always a great storyteller about her family and childhood. Her family was always her great pride and joy.
Jill enjoyed traveling to many different places with her family, especially going on camping trips & Atlantic City. Jill was a die hard “New York Mets” fan and loved watching the games on TV. She also loved watching cooking channels and used many recipes that she experimented on her family.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 2PM to 4 PM & 6 PM to 9 PM at Matthew Funeral Home; 2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY, a funeral mass is scheduled in Our Lady of Pity R.C. Church on Saturday, October 8 at 10:30 AM.
