Obituary of Kevin J. Aubrey

Kevin Aubrey, 43, of Graniteville, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2022 due to complications of diabetes. He is the beloved son of Curtis and Linda Aubrey, dear brother of Brian Aubrey and his wife Kelly, Amy Aubrey Dow and her husband Brandon; devoted uncle of Kayla, Emma, Bryce and Aubrey, loving nephew of Gerard and Janet Brusco and Dennis and Marcia Aubrey. He is also survived by many loving cousins and friends. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Kevin knew that he was a kind, sensitive, caring, selfless and loving human being. Kevin shined brightly although he never sought the limelight. Mr. Aubrey was born and raised in the Oakwood section of Staten Island. He attended St. Charles Elementary School and graduated Msgr. Farrell High School. He furthered his education at the New Jersey School of Dog Grooming and the College of Staten Island. His passion was taking care of animals as evidenced by his career in dog grooming. He also worked in the family business Holly Hill Pool and Patio. Kevin loved all of his pets over the years including dogs, cats, bunnies and parakeets. Mr. Aubrey also enjoyed fishing and boating in his spare time. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm, and Thursday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. A service is scheduled in the funeral home on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
