Obituary Geraldine Seip
Geraldine Seip (nee Willis) died peacefully surrounded by friends and family on Monday April 17th, after battling ALS for over two years. Geraldine was born and raised on Staten Island, NY, and a graduate of Curtis High School. Geraldine worked at St. Vincent’s hospital before staying home to care for her family full time. She loved selflessly, cared deeply for her children and grandchildren, and was known for her generosity and sharp sense of humor. Geraldine is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph R Seip Jr., her children Joseph Seip, Michael Seip, Alison Romeo (Seip), son-in-law Peter Romeo and grandchildren Jenna & Anthony Romeo. She is also survived by her sisters Elizabeth Willis and Catherine Gannon (Willis) as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Geraldine enjoyed summers at the Jersey Shore and the Saratoga Racetrack. She looked forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day every year, and it was the last holiday she and her family shared before her untimely passing. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., on Thursday, departing at 10:30 am. Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:30 am. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
