Obituary of Robert Anthony Ranelli

Robert Ranelli, 67, of Staten Island, New York passed away on June 2, 2023 surrounded by his family. Robert was born on December 14, 1955, on Mulberry Street in New York City to the late Charles Ranelli and Mary Ranelli. He served as a Merchant Marine. He worked for the city of New York as a building superintendent and Construction site superintendent and project manager overseeing many NYC buildings. His passions were his love for family, his Harley motorcycle, his corvette, and cooking. Robert enjoyed being with people, Frank Sinatra, and watching the Yankees, Jets, and Rangers. He also made the best cheesecake! Robert was preceded in death by his parents Charles Ranelli, Mary Ranelli, Josephine DeStasio and Robert Storrow. He is survived by his wife Betty Jane Ranelli, his loving children, Joanna Ranelli, Dr. Elizabeth Jessica Ranelli, Robert Ranelli, Nicolas Ulvert and Priscilla Dapias; grandchildren, Charles, Victoria, Jonathan, and Ariana, and siblings, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. A viewing will take place at Matthew Funeral Home in Staten Island, NY on June 5, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A mass will be held at St. Clare’s Church, in Staten Island, NY on June 6, 2023 starting at 11:00 AM.
