Obituary of Mary Breglio

Mary Breglio (Nee Severino), age 95, of Meiers Corners, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2017, at Staten Island University Hospital North. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert (2003); loving mother of Robert Breglio, Jr., and Patricia Breglio; dear sister of the late Mario Severino. She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, God Children and friends. Mrs. Breglio was born in New York City on July 15, 1922. She was raised in Brooklyn, and was a graduate of Washington Irving High School in Manhattan. For over twenty years, she was employed as a Customer Service Representative for Harper and Row Publishers in Manhattan. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed the beach and ocean. She spent a lot of time at Ocean Grove New Jersey in the summertime, and she traveled to places such as Barbados and Aruba. For many years, she was a member of the Mirror Lake Beach Club in New Jersey. She also enjoyed listening to music and singing, and hosted many summer barbeques that ended with sing-alongs. Mary also enjoyed dining out, shopping, and doing crafts. In her last years, she developed a passion for making jewelry. She was a caring and kind mother, aunt, and friend.
