Jim remembers growing up and going to school with Bobby. They then reconnected after many years and worked for the Parks Department at the Zoo garage and Arsenal where they worked closely with Commissioner Henry Stern. Jim had the pleasure of traveling back and forth to Manhattan with Bobby for many years. Bobby had a unique ability to work with anybody and get the job done. He had a wonderful personality and kind heart and would help you in any way he could. In recent years it was wonderful to hear him tell you about how proud he was of his children and his smile lit up a room when he talked about his grandchildren. He was a great friend and coworker who we will missed terribly. I had the pleasure of meeting Bobby and Lori through Jim and our friendship meant a lot to me. We will both cherish those memories forever. Our hearts and prayers go out to Lori and their children and grandchildren as well as Bobby’s family.
Love
Jim and Susan Holden

Joe and were lucky enough to have Bobby as our neighbor on Foxbeach Avenue for many years. He was always ready to lend a hand or grab a beer and just shoot the breeze. He was such an awesome man and a terrific friend. The world has lost a great man when Bobby left us. Deepest condolences to Lori, the kids and grandchildren. Love always Dorothy and Joe Nolan

I met Bobby on my first day at the Parks Department over 27 years ago, and we connected right away. He showed me the ropes and gave me constant advice on how to keep Commissioner Stern - our boss at the time - content. He was always calm and reasonable, and had a great sense of humor. My memories of those years working with Bobby always make me smile. I, and many others from Parks, will miss him.
