Obituary of Linda R. Cowhig

Linda R. Cowhig (nee Basile), passed away on September 17, 2023, after a strong battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Daniel Cowhig for 20 years; loving mother of Nicole Rosales, Maria Reno; dear step-mother of Daniel John Jr; fond mother-in-law of Edgar Rosales and Dara Cowhig; cherished grandmother of Brooke, Danny, Mackenzie, Scarlett, Danica and Sofia. Mrs. Cowhig was born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, and relocated to Staten Island as a young adult. She was a graduate of New Utrecht High School. During her career she worked mainly as a Bookkeeper. Her main passion was spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed time on the beach and always enjoyed her trips with her husband to Aruba. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Tuesday, September 19, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
