Obituary of Margaret A. Struthers

Margaret Struthers of Castleton Corners passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2023. She was pre-deceased by her sister and survived by her sister and brother. She was a beloved wife of Bruce for over 60 years and a loving mother to her three children – Robert Struthers, Jeffrey Struthers and Paige Reinhartsen, as well as seven beautiful grandchildren. Margaret was a lifelong Staten Islander who graduated Curtis High School and worked her way up in the banking industry from an entry-level position to Vice President at Chase while raising their three children. She loved spending time with her family, especially in her favorite place in the world, Aruba, where she visited as often as she could. She made every holiday a joy and was famous for her bunny cake, pumpkin and apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. We will miss her forever. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Friday, 10/13, from 4:00 to 9:00 pm.
