Obituary of Anna Nistico

Anna (Nina) Nistico, affectionately known to many as “GG,” 91, was called home on October 13, 2023. She was the devoted wife of the late Ignazio “Sonny” Nistico (1986), devoted mother of Robert and his fiancé Maritsa, Frances and Isabel and her husband John; beloved grandmother of Dana and her husband Nicholas, Diana and her husband Matthew, and Jennifer and her fiancé Thomas; adored great-grandmother of Nicolette and Samantha. She was also, a loving sister to the late Mary Interlandi, Carmella “Dolly” Sullivan, Rose “Little Dear” Sammon, Virginia “Ginger” Voight. Anna was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 17, 1932 and resided there for most of her life. She was a graduate of Sarah J. Hale Vocation High School and worked in the beauty industry for over 55 years, as a hairdresser and manicurist. She moved to Delray, Florida during her golden years, where she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, whether it was traveling, going out dancing or frequenting the casinos. Anna loved making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was also well known for her exemplary knitting and crocheting skills. Visitation at the Matthew Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be conducted at St. Anthony of Padua on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00am, with interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
