Obituary of Barbara Ann Cucci-Nieves

Barbara Cucci-Nieves (Ramirez) passed away on October 28, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Carlos Nieves, and loving mother to Regina Cucci, Marianne Forte and her husband John, Stephen Cucci and his partner Jamyl. She was the loving Grandmother to her five grandchildren, Christopher, Vanessa, John Anthony, Renée and Robert and the Great Grandmother to Alessia, Everly and Jason. Barbara was born in Fort Greene, Brooklyn where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish and attended Bishop McDonnell High School. Barbara worked for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years. She retired as a Supervisor from the Rosebank Post Office on Staten Island in 2012. Barbara volunteered her time delivering Meals on Wheels every week with her husband Carlos. She belonged to many different groups, such as the Garden Club and Herb Society. She enjoyed taking pictures, loved spending time with her family, friends, going to the beach and going on weekend getaways with her husband. Barbara was the life of the party. She put a smile on everyone's face. Visitation at Matthew Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 6:00 - 9:00pm.A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10:00am. Committal to follow at Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey.
