Obituary of David E. Bridston

David Bridston, 49, of Staten Island, New York, passed away unexpectedly on November 2nd. Dave was a dedicated English teacher for more than 25 years. He lived in Japan for eight years and met his wife Junko there. He loved traveling and hiking with Junko and his dog Frodo. He loved reading, fantasy and sci-fi, video games and he was a life-long sports fan. He leaves behind his wife and dog and his parents, three sisters, and five nieces and nephews in the US. He also leaves behind six nieces and nephews in Japan. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and teacher. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home Inc., 2508 Victory Blvd. a Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, 11/9/2023 at Matthew Funeral Home at 7:00 PM. Family and friends may visit on Thursday, 11/9/2023, 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
