Obituary of Frank Chirichella

Frank Chirichella, age 89, of Willowbrook, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (nee Stoico) for 63 years; loving father of Frank and his wife, Linda, Jeannine Lotito and her husband, Ron Scripps, Michael, and the late Mariann Basteiro; fond father-in-law of Richard Basteiro; cherished grandfather of Michael, James Lotito and his fiancé Raquel Gentile, Lisa Basteiro and Nicolette Chirichella; devoted great-grandfather of Sophia Lotito; dear brother of Robert and his wife Christine. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Neil and Joseph and sister, Helen Luce. Frank was born in Brooklyn, and raised in Bayonne, before settling in Staten Island in 1954. He was a graduate of Bayonne High School. After graduating, he served in the Army for a brief period. He was employed for approximately 30 years at Interbake Corp., in Elizabeth, NJ. In his spare time he loved gardening, bowling, and travelling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral from the Matthew Funeral Home, Inc., 2508 Victory Boulevard, on Monday, departing at 9:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita's R.C. Church at 10 am. Interment to follow in Ocean View Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
