God Bless Cosmo and rest in peace dear friend. Always happy and great person who I enjoyed to meet in Naples, very kind, respectful and nice to see, spending time talking or eating was pretty cool. God bless his family and closer friends who certainly as myself feel the loss of a great human being.
Thank you Cosmo for your friendship and you will be remembered and will stay in our best memories in Florida. John Q.

Dana and I got to know Cosmo while he lived here in SC. We played golf with him and had many wonderful dinners and lunches with him. He was a true gentleman who always had a joke or story to tell. He and I shared our Sicilian heritage, and we joked around a lot. We remember fondly how he cooked us a whole Italian mean of meatballs, pasta and antipasto. We brought cannoli, and we almost had to be wheeled out of his house. He and Dana smoked cigars and played golf together, and after he moved, he always called us when he was in town so we could get together while he was here. We feel a tremendous loss of a dear friend who we will miss greatly. Rest in peace, dear Cosmo.

Cosmo was a one of a kind gentleman. I had the pleasure of knowing him for many years in Indian Land, SC. COSMO became a dear friend, spending numerous holidays at my home. Always a smile and kindness that filled a room.
Cosmo was famous in our neighborhood for his lasagna and meatballs...and a bottle of Chianti wine. His generosity and caring nature will be remembered fondly.
It was an honor to know such a good person. Rest in peace.

Our family has lost a wonderful person. Yesterday, my uncle and Godfather (Cosmo “Junior” Cotroneo) passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly. My father’s brother, he was an army veteran, hard worker and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. To my immediate family, he will always be remembered and honored for his selflessness, caring and generosity, as he was my father’s first kidney donor back in 1992 when his older brother was in dire need of a transplant at just 51 years old. We will forever be grateful to him for his tremendous gift, and how he immediately volunteered to be tested for compatibility without even having to be asked (along with my wonderful Uncle Peter). His quiet and most important help during my family’s difficult time was amazing and will always be cherished. Heaven has gained a true gentleman and someone who epitomized the true meaning of “family”. He will be greatly missed by so many. Love you Uncle Junior.

Your laughter, smile and presence will be truly missed by all that love you. You will be remembered for always being a gentleman, a loving husband, father, uncle and more. So grateful we were able to see, hug and kiss you this past Friday. We love you always. Rest in eternal peace, Uncle Cosmo.

So few of us in Royal Wood got a chance to meet and befriend Cosmo but he had recently joined a golf group called The Sandbaggers and seemed like a good fit for a fun first group. Condolences from the group as he will be missed.
